Tour de Winghaven
2007 Tour de WingHaven photo gallery now online!
As a result of the overwhelming popularity of last year's Tour de WingHaven®, the City of O'Fallon, the United States Cycling Federation and McEagle Properties are bringing back this prestigious bike-racing event to the streets of our neighborhood.

Last year's winner Matthew Ankney of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Last year's inaugural event attracted amateurs and professional competitors from across the United States, including the top ranking US amateur and Tour de France competitor, Brad Huff.
Residents are encouraged to line the course anywhere that looks like a comfortable spot for a lawn chair and a picnic. The Boardwalk Marketplace will offer food and refreshments along with a great view of the racers charging towards the finish line.
Racing will begin at 8:00 am on Sunday, June 10th and continue until 6:30 pm.
The course starts and ends at the Boardwalk Marketplace and will loop counterclockwise from Phoenix Parkway, left on WingHaven Boulevard, left on Technology Drive and left again on Phoenix Parkway. Races will vary in length from 15 miles to 60 miles, for the professional.
Information concerning this event, including street access, will be sent to homeowners prior to the race. Improvements to last year's directional signage are being made to better ease flow of traffic through the neighborhood on race day. WingHaven® residents are encouraged to signup to volunteer, as no one knows the streets of WingHaven® better than they do.
Kids' Fun Race will be held from 2:00-3:00pm for kids ages 4-11. Registration is open for 100 kids. Participants receive free t-shirt, race bag filled with goodies and a ribbon. There will also be a raffle for prizes. Entry fee is $5 in advance or $7 on race day. Register in person at the Renaud Spirit Center, online at renaudspiritcenter.com or on race day. All future Lance Armstrongs must wear a helmet to participate.
Helmet Fitting for kids will be on Tuesday, June 5 from 6:00-8:00pm at the WingHaven Library Express, sponsored by Children's Progress West Medical Center. Helmets will be available for purchase. No appointment is necessary, first come, first served.
Volunteers Needed! Course Marshalls are needed for several shifts on June 10th. Please contact Kathy at khalstead@ofallon.mo.us or call her at 636 379-5507 to volunteer. Volunteers receive a t-shirt, refreshments and, for some, the "best seat in the house" from which to view the race. Volunteers must attend a meeting on June 6th at 6:00pm in WingHaven to receive race day instructions.
